THE SEA-DOO RXP-X RS 300 HAS WON THE 2021 WATERCRAFT OF THE YEAR!

We can’t say we’re surprised but we are definitely glad to know that The Watercraft Journal loves the Sea-Doo RXP-X RS 300 as much as we do!

In determining the possible candidates, The Watercraft Journal scales each model from an IDEA score, an acronym standing for Innovation, Design, Execution, and Affect. Acknowledging the PWC’s achievements in terms of innovation, overall design aesthetic, the final execution of the production vehicle, and finally the model’s lasting effect on the marketplace/industry. Each of the categories is capable of earning a maximum of 10 points each, totaling a combined 40 possible points.

2021 Watercraft of The Year: 2021 Sea-Doo RXP-X 300

Innovation: 9; Design: 10; Execution: 9; Affect: 8; Total: 36 points

THE SEA-DOO RXP-X RS 300 HAS WON THE 2021 WATERCRAFT OF THE YEAR!

Coming in with a whopping 36 points, the Sea-Doo RXP-X RS 300 was first described as easily the most ambitious race-ready 4-stroke to come from Sea-Doo at the beginning of 2021. After 1 year The WaterCraft Journal was having more fun than they ever expected!

By improving upon the existing T3-based RXP-X platform rather than discarding it completely, these tweaks allow the rider to swoop into wider arcs without the snappiness delivering spine-breaking g-forces in the corner every time.

THE SEA-DOO RXP-X RS 300 HAS WON THE 2021 WATERCRAFT OF THE YEAR!

“Sea-Doo daringly presented the 2021 RXP-X 300 as a one-seater. The Ergolock-R high-backed, adjustable seat firmly plants the pilot forward over the X-series handlebars and deep into the resculpted knee coves. Re-angled foot wedges allow for the second point of leverage for your knees as well. Gone are the “palm wedge” handgrips, replaced by sportier moto-style grips. Oh yeah, and Sea-Doo also managed to shave off 67-pounds from the previous generation too!”

The Watercraft Journal praised the Sea-Doo RXP-X RS 300 as “the most race-ready 4-stroke we’ve seen from Sea-Doo since the 2008 RXP-X 255. All that being said, the 2021 Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 has surprised and impressed us at every angle. No longer the stripped-down, bare-bones hot rod of its youth, the RXP-X has matured into a European luxury supercar. And with that, wholly deserves the 2021 Watercraft of The Year Award.”
